Have you seen the intern program James Brausch is running?

I have to say that it does a great job on the motivation side for a program that is done on a no money basis.

It has a long set of different task, each of which may earn you some cash if you do extremely well at it. But more importantly, you are undertaking it in exchange for learning how he runs his business (motivation), and he includes the provision of free copies of the software required to carry out the tasks.

Plus, he actually does split testing on the tasks to improve the completion rate, etc so they get more motivating all the time.

Great post.

This information helps me for a number of reasons. First it gives me some ways to self motivate. Setting goals and reviewing them is something I need to do more often for myself. I didn't realize how much harder it is to stay motivated in a work at home environment.

The second reason is I have been discussing managing a group of virtual employees for someone so this info really hits the mark with me.

Another style of management of virtual people I am learning by observing how a marketer, whose blog I read everyday, James Brausch, runs his intern program. He has set it up in specific stages each one precisely pre programmed with specific instructions and expectations including how long each task should take.

I amazed at how efficient it seems to be. Something I will have to absorb into my people management tool box. It is extremely well organized, which has always been a struggle for me. Not my strong suit but something I know I should work on .

Thanks again for the post.
Good food for thought.

Great tips. Getting assistants motivated can be hard at times. In james brausche's freedom business system he recommends making videos to show your assistants exactly what to do. That has been working pretty well for me.

I was orginally recommmended to isnare, but one read of the website was enough to put me off.
I use Noel Swanson's Unique Article Wizard too. For this kind of service you need to know that the guy knows what he's talking about, and Noel certainly does.
Once you've gone through the pain of submitting your first article, it's really easy to use. I should add that for me it's the pain of writing - not the service itself!

Hi Jim,

I've used ArtemisPro (from James Brausch) myself and it's pretty effective, it's just a bit of a pain to format the articles correctly and to build up your own list of ezines to send out to.

The two services that I use now are:

http://www.uniquearticleswizard.com
http://www.jetspiner.com

they give you the same results, but are a lot easier to actually use.

Another mistake many people make is to use article submission software that either submits the exact same article to the different article directories, and thus gets most of them caught in the dreaded "duplicate content" filters... or uses "content spooling" software that makes the articles read like something written by a Grade 2 kid.
I use some software called ArtemisPro, and it does a great job of submitting unique, high-quality articles to not only article directories, but also webmasters who are looking for top-quality articles to publish on their websites and their ezines.
Cheers,
Jim

Sorry Matt

Real life came & bit me on the arse!

Have had a short go on wordtracker (sems pretty straightforward) but nothing juicy cropped up. Will invest a bit of time into it in the near future.

the clickbank nickname is not essential as we will be using a redirect to disguise the affiliate link anyway.

I've not really done much country specific stuff, I have had success with taking a us product and putting it on a UK domain (i.e. .co.uk), which is somehting I was going to recommend to you if you find a suitable product.

I can appreciate you not wanting to share which product/topic you are most keen on too openly on this blog in case any one reading decices to copy you, so we'll call your favourite product/niche "project A".

You are correct that it is a fairly hot topic, but it's not paritcularly new and you will find it a fairly competetive market.

It is a market that I will be dabbling in shortly as I've actually purchased resale rights for some related products..

Matt

Have come up with one particular niche thing to do with websites which I know is a big thing at the moment in the UK (but well behind the US)- dare I mention it yet?- plus a couple of broader themed ideas.

Think I could actually be interested in this niche one myself & it'll entail some learning but looks within my reach. There are a couple of products on clickbank offering it.

So what's next??
